Coaching & Consultation for trauma informed, restorative workplaces

Have you ever considered that a job can be a place where people go to experience healing from past traumas, growth, purpose, joy, stability, and comfort? At QI we know the restorative potential of the workplace and provide services to help business and organizations create a trauma informed restorative workplace.

Our Approach

What is a trauma informed, restorative workplace?

Workplaces exist on a spectrum from clearly exploitative to restorative. Arguably many workplaces, without intentional effort, are exploitative. They extract from their employees and actually cause harm that trickles into employees personal lives. Other workplaces are neutral, they are not actively causing harm to their employees, which sounds great compared to exploitation. However, with intentional effort a workplace has the chance to actually be restorative. Meaning that working at this place causes employees to experience noticeably positive outcomes that trickle into their personal lives. Does that sound like a place that you would like to work?

A variety of services are provided to help business owners and business leaders to create what we call a “Trauma Informed Restorative Workplace”. Many non-profits, NGO’s, and ministry organizations find these services valuable as they may already have intentional running efforts to create restorative workplaces and or employ individuals who have experienced trauma: Survivors of human trafficking, previously incarcerated, or those who have encountered the foster care system to name a few. However, services are not exclusive to these types of organizations; after all, shouldn’t all businesses aim to be restorative places?
