With a masters degree in Early Childhood Education, a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling, 15 years in the early childhood field, and five years of adult – child interaction coaching experience, Robin is an expert resource for anyone with a child between the ages of birth through 5.
Our Approach
Individual Counseling for caregivers:
140 minute individual therapy sessions for individuals with young children, children are permitted to join during the session.
With 15 years of experience in the early childhood field, I understand how caring for a young child can be stressful at times. Although we love them, at times, our children can feel as if they are sucking all of the emotional and physical energy we have from us. This is where QI comes in to help with treatment individualized to meet your specific goals and needs.
With the objective of reducing care giver stress, not addition to it, we acknowledge that childcare is often a struggle for those with young children. Although childcare is not provided at QI, caregivers are invited to bring their young child to their individual counseling session. There are toys/ materials in the therapy office appropriate for children birth – 5 and, as long as you are able to still keep an eye on them, your young children are invited to stay in your arms/ lap or play in the same room while your therapy session is taking place.
Interaction Coaching
Individual and group opportunities to learn how to interact effectively with children 0 through 5.
Do you care about the long-term emotional health and development of your young child but sometimes you struggle to know exactly how to interact with your young child? Digging into three primary categories: Social emotional development, behavioral interventions, cognitive development, and language modeling. Expert knowledge and research is utilized to provide opportunities for you to feel equipped to meet all of your young child’s needs.
